29 3D printers are the protagonists of this story that began in 2015.

Currently they are dedicated to what is mass production, we have carried out projects for major brands in record time.

Efficiency is what is sought in a 3D Printing Farm, since for example 1 printer is capable of printing around 30 small parts per day. If we multiply this number by 20 3D printers...

We talk about 600 small parts could be printed in 1 day.

Los filamentos son el insumo que utilizan las Impresoras 3D. Realizamos esta labor con filamento PLA, ABS y PETG, en algunos casos usamos también Fibra de carbono o Wood.

Why 3D print farms?

Now that we have drawn the context, we are going to explain in a simple way the meaning of the existence of 3D printing farms and we will understand what are the benefits that guarantee their success.

To do this we will start by imagining that we are manufacturing groups of 4 mechanical parts. Each piece takes about 6 hours to print, which means that each set of 4 pieces takes about 23 hours and 15 minutes to complete. We will use this example by rounding the printing time to the day, that is, it takes us a whole day to make a job (4 mechanical parts).

Now, imagine that we have a brand for each printer. We can print one job (a group of 4 pieces) per day with one supervisor and low job diversity. That is, we will need a person to check the printer to print a single job.

If we are trying to achieve any kind of production volume it is obvious that we will need more machines. Imagine then that we have five printers instead of one.

They are still being reviewed by the same supervisor as they are quite easy to use but we have still added four or five times as many jobs so this time we have more diversity of work so if we wanted to print two or three different builds that require a day of time to be printed, we could do it and still have the bandwidth to produce.

What if we take this even further and start manufacturing with twenty printers? Now we can print 20 jobs a day, that's 80 pieces a day, and we still have a single supervisor. Production increases, the need for supervision continues to be the same as the initial one, but we have increased the diversity of work.

What it really is about is achieving greater efficiency using the same core.

In conclusion, a 3D printer farm allows us to have a greater production of parts with a single operator. The only resources to use are raw material (Filament) and electricity.
